Looking for a great way to bring English lessons alive for your students?

Then why not try YOU WRITE THE BOOK - a fantastic new writer in residence program with a difference.

Under the creative guidance and watchful eye of your writer-in-residence, your students will quite literally create their own book. The anthology they produce will provide a tremendous opportunity to enrich your literacy work and bring creative writing alive for your students.

The project is only limited by your students' imaginations. Your book may contain stories, poetry, essays, investigative articles, dramatic pieces or illustrated work. It may be put together by a class, a year level or the entire school. It may have a central theme or it may be a general collection of writings. The options are endless.

The You Write the Book workshops contain a series of specially designed activities to enhance both the creative and technical writing skills of your students. The project is a fantastic opportunity to:

- Strengthen your students' writing skills
- Enthuse them about the joy of writing
- Increase their confidence in their writing
- Encourage them to read more widely
- Promote team building through collaborative writing
- Create a truly memorable unit of work
- Meet curriculum needs and outcomes

The completed anthology will highlight to students the many wonderful and powerful uses of the written word. You could publish it for your school community, you could have a public reading or performance of the works, you could create an interactive website or blog. You could create posters and display the work. It could even be a great fundraising opportunity.

The program is run by Brad Felstead, the founder and creative director of Sharp Tack Productions.

You Write the Book is adaptable for both Primary and Secondary students.

The duration and scope of the program can be individually tailored to suit your needs and requirements.

Don't miss out on this enjoyable, engaging and effective way to enhance your students' literacy skills and their overall appreciation of creative writing. Spaces are strictly limited, so to book your program of for further information contact us today.
